WHO WE ARE
Drug Fighters and Counseling for the Young Generation (DFC) is a Community Based nonprofit making Organization that was founded in 1998 by Agnes M. Musau and a group of other women as a merry go round. DFC was registered as an organization with the Ministry of Social Services back in 2001 with an aim of improving the standard of living of Children, youth and women within Mashimoni Area. DFC is situated at Mashimoni village at the heart of Kibera which is one of the most densely populated villages in Kibera slums within Langata Constituency. Water is scarce, no sewer lines and very limited pay as you use toilet facilities and poverty is openly visible.
Drug Fighters runs a rescue and rehabilitation centre which serves over three hundred children, it also has a primary school which begins from pre primary to class eight, the first lot of class 8 did their exams in 2011. DFC also supports post primary education and has been supporting students who do well and proceed to secondary school.
A nation that is prosperous and free from substance and drug abuse.
To rescue and improve the current generation of young people from being destroyed physically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually through the use of drugs either directly or indirectly for a better tomorrow.
